The Indonesian cultural showcase, Kampung Indonesia, took place on Tuesday, 8 November 2005. The event started with a tasting session of Indonesian cuisine, Gado-gado salad, Nasi Goreng and the most popular, Gulai Ayam or our chicken curry, earlier the day.
At 05pm, the night of magic, the show & performances where everybody was taken to an Indonesian Village, began. Friendly and cozy atmosphere was complimented with great performances such as Balinese Dance, Gamelan music, Sringgati Dance, and Pencak Silat routines.
The show was a production of the PPI Newcastle and the Indonesian community as a whole. Have a look through the pages for a memoir or two...
